CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE
June 18, 2020
As the region takes steps to move forward in re-opening, the fact remains that older adults and those with underlying health conditions are at a higher risk for serious complications from Covid-19. McCrite Plaza continues to hold the health and safety of our residents and staff in the highest regard. We are continuously, yet cautiously, working to balance this commitment with our resident’s need to connect with their families and the outside community.
This is a difficult time for everyone and it will take all of us working together to keep each other safe and healthy. We continue to follow the guidance set forth by federal, state and local agencies as well as our medical directors.
We ask that you, also, continue to follow the direction of the Center’s for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):
- Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds
- Clean and then disinfect frequently used surfaces
- Stay home if you’re sick
- Avoid touching your face
- Wear a mask when in public spaces
- Practice social distancing (maintaining at least a 6ft distance between you and other people)
We are so proud of our amazing staff who continue to show up every day and provide the necessary services for our residents to live safe and healthy lives. They are the lifeblood of McCrite Plaza.
We will continue to keep our residents and families updated on current protocols and events.
